Thank you for being a client and for spreading the word about The Embodied Way:)
This month, I am focused on renewal. Expecially the renewal we get from nature.
“It’s so calming here”. When I hear that, I know I have hit the sweet spot for a client. It means I am reflecting a soothing energy, and that I have got The Embodied Way space right. Creating a space that feels good to me, and good to others is a goal of mine. One of the ways I have done that is to bring elements and colours from nature into the space. I believe a beautiful environment and products that reflect and utilize elements of nature is essential for an uplifting and satisfying experience. Please enjoy The Embodied Way.
Notes from Glenda
Sometimes, the best place for renewal is outdoors, where nature has a rhythm that automatically soothes and resources our nervous systems. When I am dysregulated, getting outside is the most important thing I can do.
Last month Lorne and I took a road trip to the Kootenays. It is our anniversary in May and as spring is our favourite time of year, we like to have a little adventure. Road trips hit all the sweet spots for us. New scenery, people, food, places to hike, and new experiences in general. And most importantly, new places to be outside.
Which we were, everyday. Hiking, biking, saunaing, hot springing, white water rafting, and nature viewing. At a pace we chose, with no serious agendas, and new opportunities to discover and be present with each other and our amazing province.
What was interesting was this. We had some big things in our life to process- changes and difficult news that we got right before our trip. These challenges could have put a huge damper on our planned time away. But, we made a choice to be with what we needed to process, and at the same time to really enjoy our holiday.
I believe that because we put ourselves in nature’s environment and planned something interesting and enjoyable everyday to do outside, that we were able to work through the emotions that accompanied these challenges without coming unglued. Not only that, we were able to resource ourselves so that when we got home, we were in a good mental, emotional and physical space to deal with what came next.
Product of the Month
Speaking of nature…One of the things I love most about the skin care line I use (besides that fact that it is a Canadian company), is the commitment to using nature and scientific innovation to make great products that actually work. I feel confident recommending LDR because of their integrity and commitment to a great product. I use it exclusively and have done for 18 years.
Now, Laboratoire Dr. Renaud has done it again with a new cream.
Introducing PURE Re(Gene) Exocreme Lift and Glow! ExoCreme Lift & Glow is a cream that works directly at the cellular level to boost skin regeneration and restore its vitality. Thanks to its vegan exosomes and NAD+, it helps repair damage, strengthen the skin, and improve its longevity.
Benefits you can expect from this cream: Restorative hydration, Barrier repair, everyday hydration, protector of cellular skin structures, Regulation of harmful pro-inflammatory interactions, cellular regeneration, cellular and skin longevity.
The results? Everyone is going to notice your vibrant glow and you will notice how amazing your skin feels! Never mind your stronger, healthier, and visibly revitalized skin. This cream is suitable for all skin types except acne-prone skin.
I am so excited about this new cream that I am attaching a PDF HERE for those of you who want the nitty gritty details! It explains what NAD+ is and what exactly a vegan exosome does.
This cream was just launched, so I don’t have any retail sizes yet. However, if you would like to try it, ask me for a sample when you are next in. I have lots of samples on hand.
The Giving Corner
Comox Valley Nature.
One of the things that drew Lorne and I to make our home here in the Comox Valley is the astounding nature and easy access to some of our favourite activities. The vibe here is phenomenal!
Our access to all that the Comox Valley has to offer is something I sometimes take for granted. Someone has to build and maintain all the trails and parklands for us to utilize.
Which is why this month, I am choosing to donate to the Comox Valley Nature Society. I want to continue to be able to have access and appreciation for all we can do and see here.
You can check out the Comox Valley Nature Society website HERE.
